Vintage Items
Every vintage garment tells a story, and with that story comes character. Our pieces are pre-loved, pre-worn, and full of history. Each item undergoes a careful in-house inspection, where we clean and restore it by hand with the utmost care. While we do everything possible to bring these treasures back to life, some signs of age—like stains, faded marks, or threadbare spots—are part of their charm and authenticity. We’re dedicated to transparency, providing multiple images of each garment in natural light so you can appreciate every detail before making it yours. Celebrate the beauty of vintage with us!
Please email us at ahehee@4kinship.com with any questions on the item before purchase and we will be happy to answer your questions.
Upcycled Vintage
We are bold re-imaginers of the extraordinary. Scouring the globe for vintage treasures and unique finds, we upcycle them into one-of-a-kind creations bursting with character and charm. The garments and textiles we source come with their own stories—well-loved, cared for, and ready for a new chapter.
Each piece undergoes a meticulous transformation in our hands. From cleaning and restoring to creative re-imagining, we breathe new life into these treasures using techniques like embroidery, stitching, dyeing, and embellishment. Every item is handcrafted with love, meaning no two are ever the same. Variations in color, texture, and design aren’t flaws—they’re the magic that makes each piece truly unique.
We partner with communities across the world, sourcing directly from artisans and makers to support their craft. Whether it’s textiles, garments, accessories, or home goods, each creation is a celebration of heritage, sustainability, and artistic expression. Join us in embracing the beauty of the imperfect, the handcrafted, and the extraordinary.
Well Worn Vintage Garments
This is an old soul of a garment, carrying the charm and character that only time can create. Just like a beautifully aged wine, these pieces have a story to tell. Our Well Worn collection celebrates the beauty of imperfection—garments with visible wear and tear, left untouched to honor their history and uniqueness. From subtle patinas and color distortions to phantom fade lines and natural blemishes, these details add depth and intrigue. These aren’t just clothes; they’re artifacts for those who appreciate the magic of a life well-lived.
Artisanal & Original Works
Our collections feature stunning works of art, garments, textiles, and jewelry that tell powerful stories. Some pieces are created by 4KINSHIP, while others are sourced directly from tribal communities around the world and members of the Diné Tribe here in the American Southwest.
Every piece is a masterpiece, handcrafted with care and precision—taking anywhere from dozens to hundreds of hours to complete. These heirlooms come straight from the artist’s hands, each one a testament to their skill and dedication, and are priced to honor their incredible craftsmanship.
We’re passionate about supporting artists. That’s why many of our artisanal goods, clothing, and accessories are purchased directly from the makers, ensuring they receive the maximum benefit. When you see a product labeled “100% back,” it means the artist receives 100% of the profit (minus transaction fees and taxes).
In some cases, we commission exclusive pieces for our brand, paying the wholesale price set by the artist. Our mission is simple: to celebrate these incredible creators while giving back as much as possible.
Small Batch Collections
When we create a one-of-a-kind product, we start with the blanks—either new or deadstock. Deadstock, leftover materials from larger brands, is our go-to because it gives unused resources a second life. If we can’t find what we need there, we source small, limited lots, keeping our environmental footprint as light as possible.
Many of our new pieces also come from indigenous makers and artisans who have been connected to the land for generations. Their small-batch creations—whether textiles or products—not only sustain their families and communities but also preserve vibrant cultural traditions. Every piece tells a story, and we’re proud to share it with you.
Sizing
We’re all about vintage and overstock treasures that are perfect for restoring or upcycling. Since a lot of these pieces come from earlier eras, they often have the smaller sizing typical of the time. But don’t worry—we’ve curated a wide range of materials and styles for both women and men, plus plenty of gender-neutral, utilitarian finds. And the best part? Many of our jewelry pieces are adjustable, so there’s truly something for everyone.Rediscover timeless style with a modern twist!

Sustainability
4KINSHIP is an artwear brand - rescuing items and reimagining them for expression, making them relevant for today.
We believe that less is more.
We also believe in the sustainability of makers, small batch productions, supporting local indigenous communities and economies. We support small mom & pop shops from jewelry makers, potters, weavers, sewers, dyers and more. We’re committed to sustainability and we work to improving on our footprint daily.
How do we do that?
Vintage. Vintage garments and items are always inspected and washed, often repaired and reimagined. Sometimes we spend over 10 hours on a single item - which invariably gives it a longer life, keeping it from a landfill in the short term and hopefully preventing a fast fashion item from entering the cycle in the long term.
Small Batch & New. When we create a unique, new product, we do use blanks for teeshirts and sweatsuits. First, we try to source deadstock, which means leftover production from larger brands, and save it from a landfill. If we’re unable to find suitable goods there, we will buy in small lots in limited sizes which helps keep our footprint to a bare minimum.
Artisan. Many of our new items come from indigenous makers and artisans who have been honoring the land for time immemorial. Their small batch creations not only support the people and families that make them but they also keep rich traditions alive.
Small Batch. We like to help keep Small Business in business. Small business artisans, printers, sewers and hand-dye specialists are an integral part of our creative community and supporting them is something that sustains our communities. We work with these family run shops in order to print, hand-dye, sew, bead and embroider garments of all kinds, whether they are lovingly repaired, reimagined or newly made.
Packaging. We work to keep our packaging to a minimum and as a business that uses profits to fund give back programs, we have relied heavily on packaging pre-made by the postal or shipping services we use to keep the business expense low. We’re not OK with this as a long term solution and we are actively working to change this to a practice that is better for the environment. Keep a look out for better things ahead.
