About this piece

++ Navajo Made Sterling Silver Plaid Cuff++ by Diné artist Gino Antonio

Exquisite artistry by Diné artist Gino Antonio 🤎

Hand fabricated from sterling silver using traditional tufa stone casting and hand-stamping techniques, this heirloom-quality Plaid Cuff embodies strength, resilience, and a deep connection to Diné homelands.

Each cuff begins as a one-of-a-kind creation, cast from hand-carved tufa stone and finished entirely by hand. No two are exactly alike. The natural textures left by the tufa casting process create a landscape-like surface that echoes the rugged beauty of the Southwest.

Inspired by the enduring legacy of Diné weaving, this striking design transforms the intersecting lines and structure of woven textiles into sculptural silver. The pattern speaks to the many threads that connect our communities—family, culture, land, and kinship—woven together across generations.

The dramatic width and substantial silver weight create a powerful presence on the wrist while retaining the organic imperfections and earthy textures characteristic of hand-carved tufa molds.

A compelling example of contemporary Diné jewelry innovation rooted in ancestral techniques, this wearable work of art is designed to be collected, cherished, and passed down through generations.
